While temperatures are often more moderate at Bear Lake, the sun is strong and the reflection of the lake is intensifying. Nothing ruins a vacation like a miserable sunburn–please remember sunscreen!

Evenings cool down significantly at the lake. Remember to bring a jacket, even in the summer.

We will supply you with a travel sized soap and shampoo, but don’t forget your toothbrush, razor, brush, etc.!

For cleanliness reasons, many of our properties don’t supply extra blankets. If you prefer a blanket when you travel, remember to bring your own.

It is not uncommon to have large wind gusts come in the afternoon.  If you are bringing a tent for the beach, remember to bring something to secure it safely. Many a beach toy and beach accessory have flown into the lake on account of the wind. Also, please be advised that the lake can be dangerous in windy conditions and to be cautious and quick to get off the lake if the winds pick up.
