What to Bring With You
Packing might be the worst part of any trip. We are here to help you remember the little things and the most important things! Here is a quick checklist to make sure you have everything before you leave!
Lots of sunscreen
While temperatures are often more moderate at Bear Lake, the sun is strong and the reflection of the lake is intensifying. Nothing ruins a vacation like a miserable sunburn–please remember sunscreen!
A jacket for evenings
Evenings cool down significantly at the lake. Remember to bring a jacket, even in the summer.
We will supply you with a travel sized soap and shampoo, but don’t forget your toothbrush, razor, brush, etc.!
An extra blanket
For cleanliness reasons, many of our properties don’t supply extra blankets. If you prefer a blanket when you travel, remember to bring your own.
Beach toys & a way to secure them against the wind
It is not uncommon to have large wind gusts come in the afternoon. If you are bringing a tent for the beach, remember to bring something to secure it safely. Many a beach toy and beach accessory have flown into the lake on account of the wind. Also, please be advised that the lake can be dangerous in windy conditions and to be cautious and quick to get off the lake if the winds pick up.
